Lack of warm water suggests you have a faulty boiler

If your shower is producing cold water, it doesn't necessarily mean that your boiler is broken. However, if you've switched the warm water on, let the tank refill and the shower still produces cold water, then it could be a case that there's a broken airlock on your boiler or there's a failure in the motorised valve. Whatever the cause, leave it to a Gas Safe engineer to assess the problem.

Strange noises coming from your boiler

Boilers that produce unusual noises are often on the verge of a breakdown. If you have noticed sounds such as loud banging, gurgling or kettling noises then it might be time to get in touch with our plumbers in Harlow. Unusual noises coming from the boiler are often a sign that there is trapped air in the system.

Your radiators are cold, despite bleeding them

You may have also noticed that your radiators are no longer as warm as they used to be. As we previously mentioned with the cold water sign, this doesn't necessarily mean that your boiler is broken, rather it  might just be a case that your radiators need to be bled. However, if after you've tried bleeding your radiators and the issue still occurs, then it might be a sign that the fault is much larger than expected and is likely as a result of a faulty boiler / central heating system.

The boiler keeps on turning off on its own

This one is very straightforward. If you've noticed that your boiler keeps on turning off on its own without warming your home or water to the correct temperature, then it's evident that your boiler probably isn't in the best of conditions.

Strange smell near the boiler

If when you stand next to the boiler you can smell something strange, get in touch with our plumbers in Harlow so we can take a look at your boiler ASAP. The smell might be as a result of a gas leak; especially dangerous if it's leaking carbon monoxide!
