How do I know if my issues require emergency work?

It may be the case that you are unsure whether the problem that you have encountered is an emergency or not. Our general rule is to say to yourself, can I fix this problem without needing specific tools or equipment. For example, if your toilet flusher has reduced in pressure and is failing to flush, you may be able to fix this problem by filling the water tank of your toilet. This job is not classed as an emergency. However, we still recommend that you call one of our engineers who will be able to walk you through the problem and check whether it is fixable by yourselves. 

Leaks in pipes or taps throughout a household can happen at any time and are relatively simple for plumbers to fix. However, this problem can cause massive damage to your house if left alone and not dealt with as soon as possible.
