Power Flushing
About This Service
Reliable Power Flushing for Family Homes
Our three-step powerflushing process starts with a free survey and system inspection so we can map radiators, pipe runs and any problem zones. Next, a Gas Safe-registered engineer connects high-velocity pumps and professional chemical agents to mobilise and expel rust, sludge and magnetite. After flushing we neutralise, add corrosion inhibitor, rebalance the system and run a full performance check. You leave with a completion report and clear advice to prevent return of sludge.

Our Process
How It Works
Free survey & system check
We inspect the boiler, radiators and pipework, identify cold spots and any corroded components, then recommend the optimum flushing approach.
High-velocity flush with chemicals
Gas Safe engineers use powered pumps and professional cleansing agents to loosen and remove sludge, rust and magnetite from the entire heating loop.
Neutralise, inhibitor & test
After debris is expelled we neutralise, add corrosion inhibitor, rebalance radiators and run a full performance check, then provide a completion report and next steps.
Benefits
Why Choose us for Power Flushing?
Protects your boiler
Removing abrasive sludge reduces wear on the heat exchanger and pump, lowering the risk of costly boiler faults and improving longevity.
Faster, quieter heating
Clearing blockages restores radiator heat and flow, removes cold spots and cuts banging or gurgling noises from the system.
Done by local Gas Safe engineers
All work is carried out by Gas Safe registered engineers with Baxi training and Which? Trusted Trader & Checkatrade endorsements for peace of mind.
What a powerflush does: Over time central heating systems collect rust, black sludge and debris that restrict flow and damage boilers. Our powerflush forces high-velocity water through the system while dosing proven cleansing chemicals to mobilise and remove deposits from radiators, pipework and the boiler loop. The result is improved circulation, higher heat output and reduced risk of breakdown.
When to call DA Gas: If you have cold spots that don’t clear after bleeding, slow-to-heat radiators, brown or black water when you drain a radiator, strange noises from the boiler, or a magnet sticks to pipework, book a free survey. Based in Latton Green, Harlow, our Gas Safe engineers cover Harlow and the surrounding towns and carry 11 years’ experience. Call 01279 316304 or email info@dagas.co.uk to arrange a visit. We offer free, no-obligation quotes and finance options where needed.
FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Most domestic powerflushes are completed in a day but duration depends on system size, number of radiators and how heavily contaminated the system is. The free survey allows us to confirm an estimated timescale for your property before any work begins.
